The Blessing Way is a ceremony where we bless the mother, honor her motherhood as a sacred transition, and celebrate the life she carries in her womb.
Unlike a baby shower, this ceremony focuses on the mother and adopts a holistic view, working on all levels: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
The mother invites her closest people. Although some traditions limit participation to women, we also welcome the men that the mother wishes to invite. We gather to support her and offer our love and support on her journey to motherhood.
Since we are in the Riviera Maya, we perform the ritual based on the Mayan worldview.
What the ceremony consists of:
- We create an altar together, understanding its components and offering what we bring (a list of offerings will be provided).
- We start the ceremony by asking permission from the 7 directions.
- We establish a circle of intentions.
- We perform personalized exercises according to the mother's wishes.
- We practice active meditation.
- We offer a personalized embrace to the mother.
- We create necklaces together with our intentions.
- We create accompanying phrases.
- We close the ceremony with gratitude.
